Gilmour Wraps Up Pre-Season Preparation - 24/2/05

On Saturday Gilmour Racing ran for the final time before opening their assault at the CAMS Gold Star, and the 2005 Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 Championship. The team tested at their home circuit - Queensland Raceway at Willowbank.

The test was used as a final opportunity for Chris Gilmour to once again get comfortable inside the Dallara F301 cockpit, and to gain extra setup data for the fourth round of the championship, to be held at Queensland Raceway in July.

Gilmour Racing also used the opportunity to test out the new Kumho control tyre that will be used this season. The team was pleased with the new tyres, and with them set extremely competitive times around the 3.1km circuit, despite the stifling heat.

Between working on their tans, Gilmour Racing had a very productive day, and eagerly anticipates the forthcoming season.

Gilmour Racing will hit the track for the first time in anger at round one of the 2005 Kumho Tyres Australian Formula 3 championship at Wakefield Park Raceway on the 26th and 27th of February.
